INTERVIEW AUDIO:

Interview By C4 (http://www.str8hiphop.com/user/50391)

SHH: Where are you from?

Georgia Boi: I'm from the North Side of Atlanta some people call it "Da VIlle" or Gwinnett Country!

SHH: How was it growing up in Atlanta?

Georgia Boi: Just like every other cities you got your ups and downs. Every city got a hood where things happen and you got your good parts where things don't. For the most part I got to see both sides and that has helped me become more of a self-made business man.

SHH: What's the hip hop scene like in your area?

Georgia Boi: I'm glad you actually asked me this question because a lot of people might see artists like Ludacris, T.I., Young Jeezy, Usher, etc… But we have a whole set of new artists coming through the doors right now. Shawty Lo is having a great year with his two singles not to mention Rocko and Dollar, so it’s a lot of talent that not many people know about down here Atlanta, but they will soon. Everybody should just get use to hearing the name Georgia Boi!

SHH: When did you feel you wanted to start a career in music?

Georgia Boi: I would say during my junior year of high school. I knew I had the talent, but that's when I started to take my music real serious and put some hustle behind my movement.

SHH: What artists influence your music if any?

Georgia Boi: All of the greats like Jay-Z, Scarface, and Tupac, but also some of the current artists bringing that energy like Jeezy and T.I. I'm just trying to make my mark like they did theirs.

SHH: How would you describe your style/sound to the people?

Georgia Boi: I would say it’s just good music man, from my beat selection to my song concepts. You can put my CD in and just ride out. My new mixtape "The Talk Of Ga" is coming out crazy. I'm trying to shake the music scene in A-town with this one. I got everything that you need musically point blank period.

SHH: What are you working on right now?

Georgia Boi: Putting the finishing touches on the mixtape "The Talk Of Ga" then I should be coming right back with my street album which is untitled right now. I'm about 8 songs in the recording process. I feel good because all of the songs are single quality and any one can tear the club down. I approach everything I do like I'm on a major label like Interscope or Def Jam and I look at artists like Young Jeezy, Rick Ross or T.I. as my competition so that I can never get comfortable. So I'm always working because I know they're always grinding.

SHH: What's your outlook for 2008 (What are your goals for the year)?

Georgia Boi: The biggest thing I want to accomplish in 2008 is getting my buzz where it need to be; then signing a deal with a major followed by my album. I am trying to start a bidding war like when Rick Ross, Rocko, and Shyne had everyone wanting to sign them.

SHH: Who would you like to work with in the future mainstream or underground?

Georgia Boi: I would like to work with 50 Cent, Rocko, Jeezy, Shawty Lo and T.I. as far as rappers and Usher, T-Pain, Akon, Pollow Da Don, Timbaland, The Runners, Cool & Dre, DJ Toomp and Drumma Boy as far as singers and producers go.

SHH: What do you feel separates you from the next artist trying to make it in rap?

Georgia Boi: I would say my presents and work ethic. A lot of new artist don't work hard. I stay in the studio. I can go song for song with the best of them. I'm not trying to toot my own horn but I'm in a real nice space right now.

SHH: If not music what would you be doing?

Georgia Boi: Thank God I really don't have to worry about that, but I think I would have been playing point guard for a NBA team if not for music.

SHH: Where can people check out some of your music?

Georgia Boi: Everyone should check me out on myspace at www.myspace.com/georgiaboimusic or www.youtube.com/georgiaboiatl to see all of video footage in the studio, photo shoots, etc. Not to mention 24Hourhourhiphop.com and every website that supports Hip Hop music I will have a interview or a song on there just type my name in the search.

SHH: Any Last Words?

Georgia Boi: First and foremost shout out to the whole HardHeaded Management Team, the whole Atlanta for supporting me from day one. The mixtape will be on my myspace page for free real soon so check for that it's called  "The Talk Of Ga" hosted by Miami's own DJ Kronik!
