Young Tai: We Have a Cool hip-hop scene. Not very creative, to much trap music but i manage to stand apart.
SHH: When did you feel you wanted to start a career in music?
Young Tai: When I was like 12 Years old listening to hip-hop and just being around it.
SHH: What artists influence your music if any?
Young Tai: I would say Jay-Z, Kanye West and Lupe Fiasco most of all.
SHH: How would you describe your style/sound to the people?
Young Tai: Neo soul meets hip-hop I'm real soulful with a punch line flow and a lot of swagger I keep it real because I'm not in the streets no more so I don't act like it.
SHH: What are you working on right now?
Young Tai: Just dropped my first album "Beautiful Mind" on December 2nd. You guys can check that out at www.smoothdirtyproductions.com. I just dropped the second single "Hangover" produced by me. Also check out the first single "Shake" its out right now, and the video is on here str8hiphop.com as well as www.myspace.com/smoothdirtyproductions. The joint is crazy ya'll need to go cop it!
SHH: What's your outlook for 2009 (What are your goals for the year)?
Young Tai: To work on dropping my second album and enjoy my career doing what I love! I feel it has been along time coming when it comes to this music thing and i just want to thank everyone at Smooth Dirty Productions for helping my career out.
SHH: What producers are you working with?
Young Tai: ME! For the most part I used four other producers they each did a track and the rest was Young Tai on the beat....ya dig?
SHH: Who would you like to work with in the future?
Young Tai: Man....It's too many people to name let's say all of them for now, but who knows what the future holds. I am a big fan of all kinds of music so you never know who you will hear me on a record with.
SHH: What do you feel separates you from the next artist trying to make it in rap?
Young Tai: You right you have a lot of "artists" trying to come in the game, but you only got a few that can standout and become STARS! I feel like I'm a STAR. That's what makes me not just another "artist" in the game.
SHH: If not music what would you be doing?
Young Tai: I don't know because music is my life! it's your job, but it's my life. And i make sure everyone can tell that, because of how hard i work at my music craft.
SHH: Where can people check out some of your music?
