Q. Is it free to register with str8hiphop.com?

A. It is absolutely free to signup. However, music artists can enhance their membership for $6.95/month.

Q. How can I put a video on my profile?

A. You can only put videos from MySpace videos, but all you need to do is input the code into the profile editor >> general info “Headline” section, and video will be displayed at the top of your profile.

Q. How can I put music on my page?

A. Yes you can. We will give users the capability to upload music directly to their pages in the near future. Until that feature is added you must use a file sharing program that provides a URL address for music you upload. To add the URL you just need to go to profile editor>> music and just cut and paste the URL in there and a flash player will appear at the top of your page with your audio.

Q. How can I get the URL for a song to play with my music player on my profile using www.fileden.com?

A. You must first sign up for an account, then you "Upload" the music file (it must be a mp3 file). Once the file is uploaded, go to the "Files" tab at the top of the page, and you will see the files you uploaded. Hit the "Plus" icon on the right of the file (file properties), you will see the linking codes line up under the file. Hit the "URL" and copy and paste that url into one of the 3 music slots in the edit profile section of you str8hiphop profile. The song should then play in your player.

Q. How can I upload my videos?

A. You must first download the Video Egg program, which should download automatically when you try and upload a video, then you can drag and drop videos right from your computer, or even upload videos from a mobile device, just by sending your video from you phone to videoegg@vemobile.com; shortly after you will receive a 7 digit code that you input, and then you can upload your mobile video.

Q. How can I get my music on str8hiphop.com?

A. Just upgrade membership to an artist page, and you can upload songs to the `Up & Coming` artist's section, where your music can be viewed by everyone who comes to str8hiphop.com.
