Which Gola Sneaker Size Should You Buy?

Choose a Gola size with official Elan, Hawk and Harrier fit guidance, US–UK–EU conversions, and advice for half sizes and wide feet.

Your usual sneaker size is the starting point for the Gola Elan and Hawk versions below—not an automatic size up or down. Gola labels them true to size. The cited Harrier also carries that guidance, though mixed buyer reports make a returnable purchase especially useful.

First, check whether the listing uses US men’s, US women’s, UK or EU sizes. A conversion mistake can look like a shoe that runs small.

Elan, Hawk and Harrier: the starting sizes

These are Gola’s published recommendations for specific versions, not standardized on-foot tests.

Model and version Official fit guidance Size to try first
Women’s Elan, suede, Khaki/Air/Buttermilk Fits true to size Your usual women’s sneaker size, converted to the listing’s system
Men’s Elan, suede, Navy/White Fits true to size Your usual men’s sneaker size, converted to the listing’s system
Women’s Hawk, leather/suede/mesh, White/Black/Gold Fits true to size Your usual women’s sneaker size
Men’s Harrier Suede, Tobacco/Navy/Burgundy Fits true to size Your usual men’s sneaker size, converted to the listing’s system; compare the adjacent size if needed

Why not tell everyone to size up in Harriers? Zappos customer reviews include buyers who needed a larger size, but also buyers whose size-up pair was too big. Those reports describe individual purchases, not a controlled comparison of the current range. They justify checking fit—not a universal full-size increase.

Use a size from a sneaker that fits you well as your reference. If you deliberately buy another model oversized, that isn’t necessarily your baseline. Our guide to what true to size means explains the distinction.

Gola US, UK and EU size conversions

The following whole-size references come from Gola USA’s Classics size guide, checked November 4, 2026.

Keep the men’s and women’s charts separate. For example, Gola lists women’s US 9 as UK 7/EU 40, but men’s US 7 as UK 6/EU 40. Don’t treat a shared EU number as proof that two versions have identical fit.

Gola’s US guide also lists some half sizes but leaves their UK and EU cells blank. Use the listed US half size when available rather than inventing an intermediate EU conversion.

Between sizes or buying for wide feet?

Check the exact size selector before rounding up. The women’s Hawk listing includes US half sizes from 6.5 to 9.5, while the cited EU Elan listings show whole EU sizes. Listed sizes aren’t a guarantee of current stock.

If your usual half size isn’t offered, compare the two surrounding sizes if returns allow. Try the larger one when the smaller pair leaves your toes crowded; don’t keep it if the extra length produces persistent heel slip.

For wide feet, “true to size” is not a width guarantee. The official guidance above doesn’t supply forefoot measurements or establish these models as wide-fitting. Treat sizing up as something to test, not a reliable substitute for enough width.

Try both shoes indoors with your intended socks. Check toe room while standing, pressure across the forefoot and top of the foot, and heel hold while walking. If one size squeezes and the next feels loose, the model may simply be the wrong shape for you. Use our length, width, heel and volume fit checks before deciding to keep the pair.
